Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu accused Hamas of returning remains that belonged to Ofir Tzarfati, a hostage whose body Israel partially recovered in November 2023. An Israeli military official also said Hamas militants fired a rocket-propelled grenade and sniper rounds at troops in southern Gaza.
