White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt will leave the administration at the end of August, President Donald Trump announced in a post on Truth Social on Wednesday.

Trump said that Leavitt, the youngest White House press secretary in history, will leave her role to spend more time with her children. Leavitt gave birth to a girl in May and is also the mother of a 2-year-old boy.

Trump said that she would continue to serve as an outside adviser.

“Karoline will now be one of my top outside advisors, and an influential voice within the Republican Party, as we work to defy History, and conclusively win the Midterm Elections,” Trump wrote. “Karoline has been a real leader in the White House, and has done a phenomenal job fighting for Justice, Liberty, and Freedom, since 2018, including our Historic Re-Election Campaign of 2024.”

This is a developing story and will be updated.
