Foreign Minister Baerbock welcomes Germany joining the United Nations Command on the Korean Peninsula Today Germany joined the United Nations Command that has been monitoring the enforcement of the Armistice Agreement in the demilitarised Zone between North and South Korea since 1953. Germany’s application to join was successful. Especially in difficult times it is key to uphold the rules-based international order as a basis for peaceful cooperation.
