In the first remarks by Russian President Vladimir Putin on the mysterious plane crash Wednesday in the Tver region of Russia, he appeared to eulogize the Wagner chief, who led a short-lived mutiny against the Kremlin in June, but stopped short of confirming Yevgeniy Prigozhin’s death. Putin promised a full investigation but said it would take “some time.”
