"Danimarka parlamentosunda 19 Ocak günü önerilen, 1915 olaylarına ilişkin iki metin ("motion for adoption") hakkındaki oylama bugün (26 Ocak) gerçekleştirilmiş; Birlik Listesi ve Alternatif Parti tarafından ortaya konan metin, 24'e karşı 85 oyla reddedilmiş; Sosyal Demokrat Parti, Danimarka Halk Partisi, Liberal Parti, Liberal İttifak, Sosyal Liberal Parti ve Muhafazakarlar tarafından önerilen metin ise, 9'a karşı 89 olumlu oy ve 11 çekimser oyla kabul edilmiştir. Böylece, aşağıda İngilizce çevirisi verilen metin, parlamentonun görüşü olarak onaylanmış bir karar olarak kayıt edilmiştir.  

 

"Parliament affirms its decision V 54 of May 19 2015 concerning the tragic and bloody events that took place in eastern Anatolia in the period 1915-1923. Parliament finds that the best road to reconciliation will be an open dialogue about history and its consequences based on free and uncensored history research including the release of all official documents from the period. Parliament regrets that Turkish law prohibits citizens and media from using the phrase “genocide” in relation to the events and finds that this is an improper infringement on both freedom of research and freedom of speech. In doing so Parliament is not expressing an opinion on the use of this term. Hereby, Parliament maintains its parliamentarian tradition of not passing judgement on historic events.""
