Col. David Herndon provided the following readout: Acting Under Secretary of Defense for Policy Sasha Baker met with Norwegian State Secretary Anne Marie Aanerud on November 13. During the leaders' first-ever meeting, they discussed enduring support for Ukraine, the importance of ongoing Allied unity, Nordic security, and enhanced bilateral cooperation. Acting Under Secretary Baker expressed support for Norway's leadership on a range of global security issues and its long-term commitment for support to Ukraine. Both leaders stated their commitment to continued dialogue on issues of mutual concern to further deepen the U.S.-Norway defense relationship.
