The damage in Gaza has outpaced other recent conflicts, destroying more buildings, in far less time, than were destroyed during the Syrian regime’s battle for Aleppo and the U.S.’s fight against the Islamic State in Iraq. Israel has dropped near hospitals some of the largest bombs commonly used today.
