Secretary Blinken Travels to Beijing and London

From June 16 - 21, Secretary Blinken is traveling to Beijing, the People's Republic of China (PRC), and London, the United Kingdom. While in Beijing, Secretary Blinken met with senior PRC officials where he discussed the importance of maintaining open lines of communication to responsibly manage the U.S.-PRC relationship. In London, the Secretary will attend the Ukraine Recovery Conference to help mobilize international support from the public and private sector to help Ukraine recover from Russia's brutal and ongoing attacks. While there, he will also meet with counterparts from the United Kingdom, Ukraine, and other partners and allies. Learn more about Secretary Blinken's trip to Beijing and London on State.gov.

"Concluded a candid, constructive round of talks with PRC leadership. The relationship between the United States and the People's Republic of China is profoundly consequential. Direct diplomacy is the best way to advance US interests and values and responsibly manage competition," Secretary Blinken on Twitter. "I am authorizing our 40th drawdown of security assistance for Ukraine. We are proud to partner with over 50 nations in support of Ukraine's self-defense against Russia's aggression," Secretary Blinken on Twitter. United States Announces Additional Humanitarian Assistance for the People of Ukraine

"The United States is providing an additional $205 million in humanitarian assistance to the people of Ukraine. This assistance enables our humanitarian partners to support the millions of Ukrainians displaced in Ukraine and across the region. #UnitedWithUkraine," Secretary Blinken on Twitter.
