Sir Keir Starmer and Emmanuel Macron are expected to unveil a new “one in, one out” deal to address the ongoing Channel migrant crisis.

| | Starmer and Macron announce migrant deal | The Prime Minister and the French president’s joint press conference slipped past 4pm after Sir Keir welcomed Mr Macron to No 10 for last-minute negotiations.
Talks appeared to go down to the wire on a day when hundreds of migrants crossed the Channel, dwarfing the number that could be sent back to France under the new deal.
Asylum seekers waved to The Telegraph and made peace signs from aboard a black inflatable dinghy as it travelled down the coast of Gravelines beach, south-east of Calais, just after dawn on Thursday.
The passengers were mostly young men of East African origin. The group was thought to have camped overnight in sand dunes approximately 300 metres from the shoreline before boarding the vessel at 5.10am.

Col Ivan Voronich, a senior operational officer in Ukraine’s security service, was crossing the street near a block of flats in the capital’s Holosiivskyi district when he was approached by a man with a gun on Thursday morning.
Footage shared on Telegram showed the moment Col Voronich was shot five times next to a row of parked cars.
Following the attack, a man can be seen running along the street in the opposite direction while stuffing a gun into his shorts.

The presenter is said to have an exaggerated sensory experience that has led to an “inability to wear underwear because of his autistic hypersensitivity to labels and tight clothing”, a friend told The Times.
More than 50 people have come forward with accusations against Wallace.
A MasterChef crew member, known as Alice, alleged that Wallace invited her into his dressing room in 2012 as he needed help getting changed before pushing her on to a sofa and pulling down his trousers.

It returns tonight with Negan making a daring play to control what is left of New York.
Such Brave Girls BBC Three, from 10pm; BBC One, from 12.35am; NI/Scot/Wal, from 1.05am TV’s sharpest comedy continues with another acidic two-parter. Mother’s Day is complicated by Josie (Kat Sadler) trying to get herself sectioned, while sister Billie (Lizzie Davidson) bumps into the wife of her “sugar daddy”.
Poker Face Sky Max, 10pm The finale of this superb murder mystery finds Natasha Lyonne’s lie-detecting detective on the run with best friend Alex (Patti Harrison), who’s been framed for the murder of a mob boss’s son. Brace yourself for a huge, show-changing twist. See the complete guide
