Kremlin says Ukrainian grain deal is ‘being terminated’ until Russia’s demands are met
President Vladimir Putin’s spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, said that Russia was canceling an agreement that has allowed Ukrainian grain to be shipped from Black Sea ports despite wartime hostilities. The deal, brokered by Turkey and backed by the United Nations, had helped sustain crucial food supplies to countries worldwide, particularly in Africa and the Middle East.
