Wagner chief Prigozhin returned to Russia after failed revolt, raising questions about whether his deal with Putin will stand
Yevgeniy Prigozhin, who led a rebellion of Wagner mercenaries in a brazen challenge to Russian President Vladimir Putin’s authority, returned to St. Petersburg to recover cash and guns. Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said a deal to relocate Wagner to Belarus was not yet finalized.
